Excellent atmosphere throughout. The use of apprehension is brilliantly done. Really surprised with the quality of the acting; very unnerving and raw in parts. Highly recommended. Get Fast Streaming access to watch movie, with excellent audio/video quality and virus free. Do it once and it's a fluke but do it twice and it becomes something else. I suppose it is suffice to say that when it comes to recreating a particular time period on the film canvas, right down to the minutest of details, there is no other contemporary filmmaker who's doing a better job than Robert Eggers. One amongst the three gifted young visionaries of today who are elevating the genre of horror with one film at a time, there is no denying that both Jordan Peele & Ari Aster are masters of their craft. But Robert Eggers is operating on a whole another level compared to these two. Where Peele & Aster films are subverting the genre, Eggers' films are defying the norm in every possible manner and pushing the art form into uncharted realms.

Dafoe good as usual. Otherwise a waste of time. weird aspect ratio adds nothing. Clean, stylized cinematography. Vigorous acting. Elaborate script.
The scoring/ sound fx deserve most credit for it's horror elements.
* Willem Defoe deserves the Oscar. br> Robert Pattinson seems to show more and more ability each movie he makes- possibly deserves the Co-star award.
